This Privacy Policy explains how EPIC ("EPIC," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, purchase EPIC Trail, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services"). It applies to residents of the United States.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Identifiers: name, email address, shipping/billing address, phone number.
- Order details: items purchased, order number, transaction history.
- Payment information: processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Communications: messages you send to support, reviews, or survey responses.
- Marketing preferences: newsletter opt-ins and subscription status.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, clicks, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
Information from third parties
- Payment confirmations and fraud signals from Stripe.
- Shipping status from carriers.
- Analytics and advertising partners.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process and fulfill orders, including shipping, returns, and warranty service.

- Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates).
- Send marketing communications when you opt in, and allow you to unsubscribe at any time.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and abuse.

3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers acting on our behalf: payment processing (Stripe), shipping carriers, email delivery, analytics, customer support, fraud prevention, and hosting.
- Legal and safety: to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process; to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

California "Shine the Light"
California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes by contacting privacy@epictrail.com.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Our Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, tax, accounting, warranty, and reporting obligations. Order records are generally retained for at least seven years to comply with US tax and consumer-protection laws.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage, and access controls. No system is 100% secure; you use the Services at your own risk.
8. International Users
EPIC is based in the United States. By using the Services, you understand your information will be processed in the United States, which may not have the same data-protection laws as your jurisdiction.
9. Do Not Track
We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do honor recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing where required by law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
